Hi, is 6mm down granno dust suitable as a self-binding gravel for a driveway as it is relatively cheap round here in East Lancashire?

for the top course or for blinding the larger mot type 1 underneath before laying the gravel on?

Grano works reasonably well as a SBG, but it does go quite dusty when dry.

Thanks for the replies. It is not unattractive and at around £40-45 per ton delivered makes an economical alternative to proper SBG's, which seem to be £100 to £150 per tonne delivered round here.

If you're buying 10T or more, you should be able to get a better price than that. Have you tried Miles Fox?
