Hi All,
First of all let me say thanks for a fabulous resource. This site has proved invaluabe to me. I've been working to resolve a lawn drainage problem and also to install a soakaway for a new patio. I've the soakpit and trenches dug and it seems to be working fine. Now I'm ready to close it all up and I've had trouble sourcing Terram 1000 in anything other than 100m x 5m rolls. This is way too much material for what I need. The local builders providers sourced some Terram for me but it is Terram WeedGuard ( it was supposed to be GroundSure ). Is this material good enough for wrapping land drains and aquacells? I don't want to skimp at this stage and find the fabric breaks down or gets clogged in a few years!

not sure what the suppliers are in ireland but i have never seen actual terram in luton
its either wrekin or advantex non woven fabric
i can buy 4.5m by 4.5m sheets which is ideal for wrapping a 1m3 soakaway with 4 crates

Thanks for that. Terram is what I've seen referenced so that's what I went looking for 
Having said that when I asked for a non-woven geotextile the guys looked at me as if I was mad. Seems like a lot of the guys here are using Mypex for the land drains.
I thought I had finally got the Terram Groundsure but inspecting it after it was delivered I find it's WeedGuard (I wasn't here when it was dropped) I'm just wondering if this fabric would be good enough - the packaging does show it being used for wrapping land drain.
Looking at the Aquacell installation guide they are recommending a 300g fabric. From what I can see Terram 1000 is only a 120g material and Werkin NW8 is 100g. The WeedGuard is 90g.
Again all help is greatly appreciated.

Burdens sell terram tony, its good gear, quite thick.

I tried Burdens previously but they only sell big rolls. Anyone know if the 90gsm material is suitable or should I look for something else?

i use tdp 115 which can be brought in "mini packs", which IIMRC are 4.5x11.1m, however I have no idea of its weight.

Thanks Mikey. I have the Weedguard here which as I said is 90gsm. I remember reading somewhere on the site not to use the likes of Plantex. I know that's a lighter material (55gsm) but it has me wondering if the 90gsm is sufficent. I've emailed Terram and my supplier is talking to the sales rep to see if the WeedGuard will be sufficent. If not I'll be looking to get it exchanged.
I was hoping for a quick answer as I have the back garden in bits at the moment. SWMBO is not very happy 
Again thanks for all the responses so far. I'll post back if/when I get a response from Terram. It might help someone else at a later date.

Just to update. As I suspected the Weedguard is not up to the task of wrapping the aquacells although the reps did say it could be used for land drains. I ended up returning the lot and managed to source a Terram mini-pack. If anyone else is looking to get them, Heiton Buckley and Chadwicks have/can get them. I found it best to call into the store as I was previously told over the phone that they only had big rolls or didn't have what I was looking for.

I've bought directly from Terram in the past, seems like they will deliver outside of the UK but obviously at a price.

I have been having the same problem, if you in Ireland, I have just sourced some from http://www.liningservices.com ask to speak with Pat very knowledgeable and will cut off roll at good price.

Thanks for the links. Yeah Rich I'm in Ireland. I've also found that Molloy Precast in Tullamore are good for this sort of stuff. I managed to get some aquacells from them at €30 each. They only have a limited supply - left over from a bigger job. Of course I did it ass about face and got the cells before the geotextile. It was too far for me to go again just to get the geotextile. Live and learn
