Hi All,

I have a bulk bag of 20mm clean gravel for backfill for a raised planter/retaining wall. I mistakenly ordered another bulk bag of 10mm gravel. Can this be mixed with the 20mm to do the job, does it matter where it is behind the wall, bottom, middle or top. If 10mm gravel is not suitable for this task, can it be used as a sub-base for some 450x450 paving slabs that I need to lay?

Thanks,
When you say its o.k, is that for the backfill as well as the sub-base should I have any left over from the wall.

Not much use as a sub-base, unless you mix it in with type 1, or maybe you could blind the sub-grade with it and wack it in just to use it up
