Hi all I'm new to this forum.

I've just recently been injured which has left me paralysed and in a wheelchair.
I'm starting to modify my house to accommodate my chair and soon the outside will be my next project.
My new extension to the rear of my house will have a single door and a set of French doors both level threshold. I would like a patio for easy access and maintenance.
What drainage do you recommend since the patio will have to be right up to DPC?
Also, would you go all across the house with the drainage or just in front of the doors and have a ramp to the door?
Straight across would be my ideal option.

sorry to hear of your injury gav
the job i am on at the minute is a "disabled living adaption" for luton council
when we do a flush threshold door they ask for an ACO style drain level with the door
new goalpost type doors have been introduced so that effectively there is a seamless transition from in to out
however if it is an existing house we would have to install code 4 lead 150MM above DPC along the line of the drain
any ramp for wheelchair use must be 1200 mm wide with at least 100 MM upstand and no greater than 1:16
will your local council not help with the adaptions?
