Some advice on what to-do with this. Please see link below...

This flag has been rocking for a while due to the wifes car driving over it. We would like to get rid of these flags and concrete where they. Whats the best way to deal with rainwater drain. Should I extend the drain up with more of the same diameter, or put a hopper on top and concrete to that.

Any help and advice received with thanks

if the drain isnt leaking do not touch it
put some expansion 10mm foam around it and concrete it in

Is there a need to go that close to the drain with the car? Could be a bit dodgy...

LLL, Thats a good idea to concrete it in. I can then get rid of the old flags and concrete the whole drive.

Should I Just concrete over the top of the black part in the photograph with a fresh peice of downpipe inserted in. Using some expansion foam as you recommend.

Or would it be a good idea to bring the level of the black part up to the level of the new concrete. Which will be 2 courses below the dpc.

Thanks

for the help. :D

If the pipe is damaged, cut it out and replace it with a new piece, then follow LLLs instruction. You maybe need to be replacing with small element paving, as concrete needs to be done propererly, one small error really sticks out.
