Not that I intend to but whats the law on surface water into foul sewer?I say it's a no no a friend(who works for a builders!) says its OK.Checked on U Gov and they state "you could be prosecuted for putting foul into surface, but you may contribute to flooding if you put surface into foul" nothing about it being illegal anybody know the definitive answer so I can put this argument to bed!

AFAIK you need permission from your local water company to do it,and if you ask they generally decline
A soakaway is best but not always possible on some properties and ground,
put it this way i have seen it down but cannot endorse it

The only situation I can think of where it's acceptable is where you have a combined system with both stormwater and foul being dealt with in the same pipe. You'll still need planning permission though.
Can't see it from my house
