I intend to pave back garden which is currently covered in pebbles. The contractor quoting for the job has said that I do not need a drainage pipe installed as he will direct the flow towards the end of the area which is covered by a wooded deck. The total area to be paved is 34m2. I want to make sure the job is done properly - should a drainage pipe be installed and linked to the downflow pipe drain from the house.

Also, is is ok to put paving slabs over a concrete path area ?

Thanks
S

drain to the decking ???
Go to main index and then suds.
Laying on concrete is ok if it's sound and won't compromise your 150 below dpc.

for the little extra cost id always be tempted to get rid of the water unless youve got a decent flower bed etc to drain into etc but not underneath a deck as youve no idea whats going on down there etc or whats under there.
