Thank you for a terrific site.
We have a shared drive to 4 domestic properties -- occasional heavy vehicles as we all use oil for heating and get involved in building projects etc.
Got 2 quotes so far for tarmac drive, 32m long x 3.2m wide.
Best quote has given spec. as well, but states that hardstone for surface course may contain slag. On the phone the manager stated that the PSV would be 60, whereas with 100% hardstone it would be 64.
I see no reference on your site to using slag in the surface course, so are there any problems with this?

No problem at all - it's just another development where more and more aggregates come from recycled materials.

And for a residential driveway, even one shared by 4 of yous, the PSV is nowt to worry about!
