My soakway will be beneath my block paving. However. it’s not under the driveway and will not be load bearing, but I will still need to cap it to prevent any settlement with the result of a sunken section of paving.
The hole will be 1.7 x 1.2 metres and therefore the cap will have to be slightly larger than this. But what exactly do I use that is rigid and strong enough but without being too heavy to manhandle into place ?
Cheers

would use concrete lintels (thing you see above doors/windows), their light enough to man handle and strong.

eh?
what construction is the soakaway?
if its crates ,cover with terram then leanmix concrete then your subbase
if its rubble ,cover with terram ,leanmix then subbase

It's going to be crates wrapped in terram, on a bed of 10mm gravel, and backfilled with same gravel.
So, all Ihave to do is cap it with a layer of concrete and let it set before putting my sub-base down ?
Cheers for your help

well if its the blue crates you should be ok just to cover with subbase and wack, but as long as the crates are deep enough ,i think 100mm of lean mix will make it a better job
the gaffer will probably have the definitive answer here
