hi all i am laying down new sewer pipes and the plan states something about pegs? also 140 fall ? sorry dont blast me for not getting a contractor in money is really tight right now . so going to try myself.just need to know how to peg out

the fall your drawing calls up 1:40 means that you need 1 unit down for every 40 units along, units can be whatever you want millimeters, meters, feet, yards, furlongs, miles etc.

use something at the start and end of the drainage run that you can mark height with, wooden peg, lattern iron, earth rod, steel bar etc. Get a level for these two points then drop the one at the low end of your run by, length of run/40.

this made sense as I typed it in but it might not on re-read.
