We live in a rural area with most of our land running downhill to the front of the house. I am planning to install a new septic tank about 40 metres from the house but having measured the drop this evening, the height drop to the planned tank location is about 1.4 metres (ie a fall of 1:28). Is this too much of a fall and likely to cause problems with the water running too fast for everything else? If so, would there be any way of getting around this somehow?

Its maybe a bit to steep of a gradient, you could have small drop shaft arrangment
