Following landscaping of my front garden I have carefully removed a diseased bush adjacent to the SW P-trap for the gutter downpipe. Careful hand excavation of the soil with a hand trowel has revealed the possibility that the installation of the block paving (before we moved here) has resulted in a crack/hole vented in the trap to allow drainage without the use of an ACO drain or similar (no broken pieces found in the soil anywhere) for the fall of the drive towards the house. I wish to install a 1m length of ACO to collect the water, connect with the downpipe/ P-trap and fill the area with paviors. Sorry if this has been asked before but is there a repair kit solution or collar available that would avoid replacing the complete trap? :( Advice appreciated.

Excavate damaged P trap and replace with plastic items, suitably sleeved to exisiting pipe runs?

Can the damaged areas be repaired/bandaged?

Thanks Dave. There is a possibility a bandage could be placed over the hole, as the rest of the trap appears to be sound. I will excavate around the trap to check this is the case. If so bond a PVC bandage over the affected area before paving. There is rarely any foot traffic in the area and certainly no vehicles so I assume it will suffice? I have some Geocel secure & seal, which I assume will do the job ok unless another product is recommended? Failing that I looks like I will have to bite the bullet and replace it. :)
