I have a concrete patio about 20 sqm. There is a vertical concrete margin (about 20cm) that separates the patio from a raised lawn. There is no drainage on the patio and when we have a deluge the patio floods and water runs off under the back door of the garage. The guttering from a single storey extension and the garage feeds a water butt that overflows onto the garden border via a fairly heath robinson arrangement of pipes. Can anyone advise me on how best to address the flooding problem?
Initial thoughts - have the concrete lifted, install soakaway and then lay a patio using flags or block paving with a suitable drain into the soakaway. Thinking of extending the patio by taking a chunk out of the raised lawn.
Any ideas of how much it would cost top have this work done?
Thanks in advance.
