Hi!

Can anyone advise as to the correct materials to use to construct a catch pit? obviously it need to be waterproof and if it is a brick contruction what type of brick do you use? also can you form it out of concrete ( using a shuttering) if so what is the mix and what would you need to add to make it waterproof?

concrete base. if you use concrete rings, set them on to the concrete and push them in to seal it. you can use engineering bricks, even plastic with a concrete surround. make sure it is waterproof tho. make your invert 300ml above the base and any other incoming pipes 10ml higher, or, soffit to soffit depending on pipe diameter.
