Hi I wondered if any one could help or suggest a supplier of vitrified clay drain hopper heads.
I have a blockpaved drive 6 years old with a surface drain that is right in line of the tyre path of my car coming in/out of my garage.Consequently the neck of the drain is starting to crumble and collapse. The section that is breaking appears to be a clay collar that is about 3" deep and sits on top of another clay section underground. It doesn't appear to be a proper hopper head..... but it does hold a metal grate in place.
The measurements are 27.5cm (11" appox) square by about 3" deep.
I can't seem to locate one of this size anywhere.....any help would be really gratefully appreciated.

If it is clay then there are two culprits...Hepworth or Naylor.
If you try a local heavies and civils mercant like Keyline, your best bet is probly the naylor
from a quick shufty in the book, the closest is probably product code 07383 which is what is called a dished top. This has a 4" outlet and a grate over the top. The grate is approx 230x230 mm and the dish it rests in is 254x254.
If it ain't that...then maybe try their website or technical departments. Beware though, a 4" naylor coupler does not like hepworth pipe or fittings and vice versa
