A friend has a house on a un metalled road that is not adopted by the council no streetlights ect but it does have drains in the rough gravel road.
Anyway today I finished off some repairs to his front path was hosing down and noticed the grid outside his house was over flowing so he asked me to have a look at it (it has been doing this for years) I dugout a 300mm of sh!t only to find that there was a load of what seems to be concrete but might just be gravel and cement mixer cleanings its resisted my spade though
The other drains on the street appear to be 600mm deeper than this layer It was getting late and I was fed up at this point. So I slammed the lid and said “leave it with me ':D'
So if he rings the council and says the drain is over flowing will they:
A say ok we be along in the next 6 years sort of thing
Or
B sodoff it’s a unadopted road sort it yourself
or???????
If anyone is still reading after all that drivel
Thank you
Andy
