I am now in a position where i can now install my pipework to drain my garden, i am confused regarding using a perforated pipe to do this, i can't get my head around how this works as the perforations in the pipe go all the way around it, i.e if the perfs are on the bottom what is to stop the water from seeping out the bottom and not travelling to the designated outlet.

Am i correct in using this type of pipe or should i be using another type.

Help needed please, great site a mine of information!!
