Hi, this is my first attempt at using a forum as I can normally work things out myself, but this is really taxing me. Particularly as I have learnt so much from Tony's book and the web suite
I am paving a small courtyard and have a manhole with one disused inlet. It has a 600 x 700 cover. The building inspector is happy that provided I blank of the unwanted inlet I can pave over it . I have reduced the level of the chamber by removing a couple of layers of bricks (in fact they were disintegrating anyway) and now need something to cover it. I did think about using a couple of paving slabs on top but am worried these may not be strong enough. I would not want the whole lot to fall in when I use the plate vibrator. The courtyard will be used for foot traffic only, but there is always the possibility that in the future somebody may drive over it. Can any body help me please?
Dave
