Hi -
I'm now at the stage of wanting to put a watering/irrigation system in to the garden (i know, i know - it would have been easier not to have to retro-fit it). Anyway, I need to get a water supply from the outside tap (back of house) under the patio to the garden beyond.
I have 2 choices - run 15mm copper pipe around the house and up the fenceline (ugglleeee) or --- pass a plastic 15mm pipe through the plastic storm pipe which just so happens to travel that way to an inspection chamber (and exit at the other end). The storm pipe runs from one of the main drainpipes off the roof, under the patio and onwards to an inspection chamber in one of the flower borders.
Clearly this is a 'DIY idea' and not necessarily that bright so I wanted to check it out. In theory it would work but is it smart?
Its only really a temporary water supply for the summer (subject to hosepipe ban of course) and I would isolate it over the cold winter months.
Thoughts? (he asks, ducking)
thanks Ian
