Hello
Ihave just dug out for a patio in front of my house .The garden slopes toward the house, quite severely ,and I have found the soil is clay ,and very soggy. Will it be permissable to slope the patio towrds the house ,and run a linear drain across the front of the house into the existing drain at the end of the patio Also considering the heavy clay soil ,what depth of hardcore should I put down to stabilise things . Thanks .

A linear drain will be fine. Id go for 100mm of hardcore

Aco channels, best things ever invented! We use loads, varying from the small raindrains to the bigger cast iron topped ones for BM yards etc.

My drive was a similar situation to yours, we used 100-150mm hardcore, using hepflow linear drains into an existing gully.

My only issue was the Hepflow channels, i got them from jewson, they were fairly expensive and when i went back for another (about 20mm short due to the way you have to cut them) they were out of stock. The other Jewsons close by to me stock something slightly different (and not compatable)

With extended research the aco ones look better for jointing etc but i cant find any local to me
