Hi, I have started large (150m²) landscaping project which will include either a block paving or tarmac finish (yet to be decided), during the dig out I have discovered a breather, which was buried and blocked, as the project will be having linear drainage is it acceptable to use the breathers vertical drop into the drains (with the correct thick wall clay to plastic adaptor) as an entry point for the linear drainage. My concerns are

1) That the water dropping vertically (approx 2ft) will eventually damage the drains.
2) The breather should be able to function even though the drains have two further vented soil stacks.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

P.S. A great and informative website.

you need some kind of trap as you dont want leaves and other debris getting into the sewers and blocking them, apart from that as long as the run is vented i cannot see any problems
cheers LLL :)
