Hi,
I'm having problems with my house flooding when there is heavy rainfall. I'm having my driveway dig up, hopefully to expose the problem.

Who could tell me if my rainfall is going into a soakaway?
My house was built in the 1970's.

Thanks
Lucy

if the pipe at the bottom of the down pipe leads into a soakaway ,then yes your rainwater is going to a soakaway
whether the soakaway is working is another matter, the pipe could be silted up or blocked and the soakaway itself may not work if the ground is heavy clay
the guys doing the drive should be able to spot this and rectify it
hope this helps
