There's been a few posts recently about connection of private drains to the public sewer network so I thought this link might come in handy w.r.t. people's legal right of connection etc.

It's a Yorkshire Water page but all the water utility's follow pretty much the same set of rules (mainly the Water Industry Act 1991).
