How much to move a public sewer drain

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

This is a great site

We are having an extension in our back garden and we have a public sewer which is under 3m away. i was wondering how much it would cost to move it towards the driveway area away from the back garden. have you ever moved a public drain before?

also a friend has said that we can charge rent for the public sewer being on our property (sounds great, they charged rent for the power cables in their garden) is this true?? how would i go about finding this out? ???

Ring up your local water utility...if it's a "public" sewer then they probably own it.
