Land drains needed? - Flooded after rainfall

My house is about 15 years old. The back garden is quite small (about 10 metres x 10 metres)The soil is thick clay. My garden is quite flat but has a steady slope to the bottom and to the right hand side, which of course gets very waterlogged and after continuous rain I am padddling for days! My neighbour has a double garage on that side and the garage guttering and drainpipe run straight into the ground - so I get that as well as I am lower. The nearest drain that I can see is in my drive (at the top of the garden) which of course is at a slightly higher level.We have tried digging down 5ft and putting in soak aways, it was still thick clay 5ft down, I have also had the enviromental health out who instructed my neighbour put a water butt from his garage (he hasn't!) I have also had the water board check for blockages.I am afraid 'sorting it out' could be expensive & invasive, could you give me advice on who to approach in South Yorkshire area, and cost involved as this is something I know nothing about. Also if there is any labour work my father (DIY) could do to incur less costs. Please send swift reply as I am at my wits end and have been paddling again yesterday!

Again, I canb't say what would be most suitable as I cabn;t see the lie of the land. All I can suggest is that you get a local drainage contractor to take a look and advise accordingly.
And on a technical point: a hole in 5ft of clay is NOT a soakaway - it's a hole. Soakaways, by definition, have to offer some opportunity for the collected water to actually soak away.
