hi i am having a second hand conservatory installed by my dad (a builder) unfortunately the dwarf wall runs straight across the site of my inspection cover the hole beneath is approx 4 ft deep the cover roughly 2ft by 2ft what options do i have for moving covering or any other solutions you can think of regards hammers19

Best option is to re-site the IC to a position outside the building works. You can't 'bridge' an IC: you could bridge a pipeline, but not an access point, so your only option is to have it shifted, and the easiest way to do that is to build a new IC.

thanks tony if i resite the ic can i use one of the new plastic ones or will it have to be the same as the one already there regards hammers19

No - you can use a placky one. In fact, you're much better of using a placky one: they are easier to handle and to install.
