I have a manhole in my garden. The original boundary was a wood fence. One side of the manhole is on the boundary of the two gardens. The previous owner had a wall built on the boundary and has placed a lintel over the manhole, allowing access to it.
Is there a minimum distance a wall should be from a manhole.?

No. It's not all that unusual for ICs to be placed directly on a boundary line. Sometimes it's pure chance, but sometimes it's done for devilment, I'm sure.

MHs are bigger and more important than ICs and it is bad practice to build a wall over the access cover. As your Chamber is in a garden, it is far more likely to be an IC rather than a MH
