Has anyone ever used a Ferret/Terrier Finder to locate drains?

I know one manufacturer who sells the ferret finder for about £85.00, they then add a water tight pod and a rod attachment and sell it as a drain tracer for £250/300 with exactly the same transmitter and receiver.

So yes if you can keep the transmitter water tight and horizontal in the pipe work you can use it as a drain tracer
