Gully drainage options

Foul and surface water, private drains and public sewers, land drains and soakaways, filter drains and any other ways of getting rid of water.

I have been asked to put in a concrete slab for some new timber built dog pens and I'm not sure what options I have on the drainage.

The slab is 23'x25' and we need a gully along the front about a foot in from the edge. This I can handle. But:

What can I do with the water. The property is remote and has a septic tank, the pipe runs very close to where the pad is to be, am I OK joining into this? if so what trap/inspection cover do I need?

Would I be better to put in it's own soakaway or join up to an existing one. The only thing that makes me worry about this option is that the land is very wet sticky clay and I'm not sure how much water the land can take and obviously no-one can tell me how much water the lady of the house is going to use washing away dog muck every day.

I don't want to cock it up but I also don't want to spend the equivalent of the GDP of a small african country on bits of plastic to bury in the ground. All help greatly appreciated

This slab for the mutt pens will have to be drained into a foul system or a septic tank. It can't be sent directly to a standard soakaway. So, the easiest option is to use summat like a linear channel with a trapped outlet connecting to the septic tank in whatever way is most straightforward. Until you have the ground open and can see what the lie of the land is like, it's impossibe to say what pipes and fittings will be required.
