Hi, I am trying to figure out the best drainage scheme for a tricky patio shape prior to paving.
Last summer, we excavated 2 feet down to form a sunken patio area. The patio is surrounded by 2 foot high brick walls to create raised beds. The shape is essentially two separate patios. One is a 4.5m dia. circle and the other is a 4.5m wide/deep square. Both patios are linked by a 3m long walkway.
Hard to describe, is it possible to send an image through?
During excavation we also dug out a 1m deep "sump" in the middle of the "square" patio and filled it with rock so all water will end up there. Hoping to get some suggestions as to the best place to locate the actual grilles to take the water away from the paving surface. I will use 100mm pipe to get water from the grilles to the sump and I think I probably need two drainage points. Would even consider linear drains if necessary.
