Hello 1st time on the board, can i ask two questions.

1) What’s the difference between a Manhole Cover and a Inspection Chamber, Is it just the size.

2) The bottom of my manhole/IC?, where it meets the clay bit "Half round pipe", has disappeared. Is it okay to repoint this, with ordinary mortar and a waterproffer?

What does Tony recomend?
Many Thanks

The diff between a Manhole (with or without a cover) and an IC is, primarily one of size. A maintenance operative should be able to climb down into a manhole, whereas an Inspection Chamber is purely for inspection from surface level and you;re not supposed to be able to get into it.

Depth to invert and pipe bore determines whether a MH or IC is required.

And for your bonus question....

Do you mean the benching has disappeared? If so, it could be repaired with a high-strength mortar, beefed up with some SBR or Ronafix, but a granolithic mortar is preferred as it's less liable to abrasion. It needs to be a 3:1 mix.
