Having recently looked under the floorboards, we have a considerable amount of water underneath the whole house. A month or so ago we thought it was due to rain water through the airbricks. However the level of water is still there if not even more worse and has a stagnent awful smell to it. Can someone please advise if this could be a damaged drain causing this? To point out the ground is heavy clay however this problem hasn't existed before. We used to have two small trees in relatively close proximity to the house which were cut down last year is it also a possibility this has had some impact. An experts advice would be greatly appreciated we are obviously concerned for the well being of the foundations and are worried about financial costs to prevent this matter!!!
