Hi,

I have an old concrete driveway and I'm considering using a company such as http://www.stonebond.co.uk to re-surface.

Is this stuff any good? And what extra height does it add to the surface of the drive?

Would I be able to apply this sort of surface myself?

Cheers,

Jim

it is good if laid right
it is resin bonded gravel
they can overlay but the existing surface needs to be very good ,any crack lumps and bumps will show
and no it is not a diy application
ask to see the contractors 3 last local jobs?

Ok thanks.

There are some cracks but otherwise the surface is in fairly good condition.

How does it compare with Blocks or tarmac? I'm assuming it'll be cheaper because there's no need to remove the old concrete?

Cheers,

Jim

the cracks will show through, its only a surface appliaction,
if you are going to do summat better to do it right
Bp costs around £50 -80 a m2 tarmac around £30 a m2 depending on many variables
as i remember RB is only guaranteed for 10 years
ask to see previous jobs, and not just pictures, actual physical jobs you can look at and touch, and maybe speak to the client
it is a great finish when done right
