Which bedding material?

Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

I have now got to the stage of ordering the bedding material for my driveway, so far i've been given the pro's and cons for three different materials, Sharp Sand, Bideford Grit and lastly 3mm to dust. Which one to use is now confusing me, i'm leaning towards the Bideford Grit and the 3mm to dust, as the compact and bind together better.
I'm using the Formpave Chartres Classic range of paving, and the driveway will have two large cars parked on it. Your commments on which material to use will be greatfully recieved.

Grit sand every time. Screeding quarry dust when it's had a pass with the plate is close to impossible.
Can't see it from my house
