how much room for error?

I need to re-direct the foul waste pipes around my kitchen extension, and am trying to work out the new layout to be as cheap and straightforward as possible. Just wondering how much room for error I can allow when calculating the angles of junctions - if I'm using a rubber collar to connect the existing clay and the new plastic pipes, presumably I would be able to nudge it about by a few mill?

Or do I have to be absolutely spot on?

There's quite a lot of free play with drainage connections. Typical fittings for residential pipework use 11¼º as the finest adjustment, and you can reasonably expect ±8º of play with each coupling. A few mill one way or t'other is no trouble.

I have been surveying the existing clay pipe work VERY accurately - being quite nervous at getting it wrong.

I am sure I can comfortable get it within 8 degrees.

My wife actually posted the massage above after seeing me quite.....unhappy at the task ahead - and of course she thought it best to ask for help.
