please help. waht exactly is a rodding eye? and are there alternative methods of doing what it does?
A rodding eye is an access to a pipe system. Basically, a pipe is brought up to the surface and fitted with a special cap so that rods or cctv can be put into the system for maintenance and inspection purposes.
Alternatives include MH, ICs and Access Fittings.
This sounds very much like a coursework question that comes up every year without fail - I must have answered it at least 2 dozen times!
