How does i linear drain connect,Is it to the main drain how ? what if the nearest drain is 4 metres away.I dont understand the layouts of drains.Also how best to cut the concrete box where the drain is as not to damage the drain.

There are dozens of different types of linear drain. Unless you can tell me which type/brand you have, I can't really help, as ther are sveral different ways of effecting a connection. Have a read of the Linear Drains page for details of the most common methods.

However, if you don't understand the layout of the drains, and are not sure how to make a connection, I have to suggest that you might be better off asking a drain specialist or a competent groundworker to undertake this work for you.
