Hello,
I have several wobbly slabs in my garden patio. After lifting them up I found that they were laid on spot bedding. The bedding area looks like this:
Right half is hard concrete blocks with empty pockets in between.
Left half is a very soft mortar compound that can be broken mixed with some stones.
What is the best approach for relaying the slabs? Do I need to break the soft mortar on the left side before laying over the slabs?
I have purchased a slab layer ready mix. Will that work?
If so do I need to fill the pockets on the right side with the mix or only on top of the hard concrete? And would I be able to lower the slabs as required to maintain level?
Thanks in advance for your help!
