I used Google photos. I went on there and my photos were already on there without me even knowing (good old privacy) I do have a google account but run iOS/Mac OSX everywhere.

Just copy the url of the google photo you want to share and paste it into your reply.

Make sure the photo is allowed to be shared though. I created an album and made that shareable

When I try posting it doesn't allow it. The url of the photo has no .jpeg to it , is that the problem?

Yes I think that is the problem it will need to end in .jpg .gif .bmp or another picture format.
