Hi All

I'm a newbie here and hoping that I can get some advice.

I have a 5-year-old Mint Sandstone (a off white colour) patio. There are some marks on some of the slabs which i thought was Algae, i have used things like patio magic, smart seals Patio Clean Xtreme, and bleach, but nothing seems to get rid of it.

I have added an image (hopefully it shows), don't know if you can tell me what it is and how I might get rid of it.

Example of Stain

Many thanks for your help

Neel

Looks like algae/lichen penetrating that incredibly soft stone.

I find that Wet & Forget is, by quite some way, the best treatment for this typoe of stain. It doesn't work immediately, so don't exoect miracles, but give it 2-3 months and you'll be pleasantly amazed.

Thanks Tony,

Would you say that it is a one time treatment and then leave it, or repeat treatment ?

.....probably because everyone is stuck at home and loking for basic DIY jobs they can do in the garden.

The bell-end next door to me is spending a fortnight felling a small tree with a tenon saw! Great entertainment, especially when I have a chain saw and god knows how many bow saws in my shed....but he won't ask because of his manly pride. :D

Last time I looked, Costco were still doing it at 22 quid, incl VAT
