Flagstone - Cleaning problem

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

Can anyone help me ?? My gardener spilt 2stroke petrol from his hedge trimmer in drops all along my newly laid flags. Have tried hot soapy water and a stiff bristle brush but have had no luck getting rid of them . Thanks
