Hi have any of you used a Langfit slab lifter to lift 600x600 size slabs ?
I am wondering if one of these would be a good investment. I am looking to lay around 80 slabs and as we are getting on a bit in years, find these size slabs a bit heavy to handle.
It would seen that there is no outlet in uk so looking to purchase from Germany.
Thank you for your time
Kind regards Liz

That's not a brand with which I'm familiar, but I do know that good tools are not cheap. There's a sound reaon why the likes of Orit, Probst, Optimas, etc are a tad on the pricey side, and it all comes down to the build quality.
Still for well under 100 quid, you have to wonder whether it's worth having a bit of a gamble with an unknown quanity?

Funny this should come up- I've just bough this on eBay with the intention of slinging it from the micro digger:

Looks to be the same. Worth a punt I reckons. You only get one body.

I welded up a new centre bar for mine with a lifting eye. Hanging it from the micro digger coupled with the flatbed on the muck truck made laying 20 600*600*50 slabs a pleasure rather than a chore. Paid for itself in the first job.
