Has anyone successfully used ardex for jointing up paving? Looks like it makes a mess of the slabs. Any reason why i cant gun inject it like easipoint?

I have used the grout on porcelain mate and it was hard work IMHO

Thanks tony. Yes, this is porcelain from london stone! Will have a word with the customer as i have priced for a polymeric jointing!

it took us longer to do and clean the grouting than it did too lay the stone !!
if you do use it small batches mate

If you get the chance, waste a couple of hours watching professional floor tilers working with their grouts. You should notice just how often they are wiping over the grout, and the roller buckets they are using to minimise re-contamination. It makes my knees ache just thinking about it!
If I was still laying, I'd be sorely tempted to use a tile grout and let one of the young 'uns (under my eagle-eyed supervision, obv!) do all the sponging down. The resin slurries are very good, very quick, very clean, but they are pricey and the fact that they 'green up' with algae/lichen/mosses due to their permeability warns me that the customer is going to be calling me back at some point. Gun-injection is a task with which I never got on. Hated it when I was fit and able and working with big stone flags, so the thought of trying it with 5mm tight-arse joints in a porcelain pavement makes me feel a sickie coming on.
