Morning all,

We had our patio laid last year and as expected was told to wait a period of time before sealing due to efflorescence. We have finally been able to get the builder back who has now complete the sealing works but the slabs actually look worse than they did before and I am concerned that the slabs look significantly worse than they did before.

They cleaned and hosed the patio on Friday with "a patio cleaner" and then returned on Saturday to apply the sealer. They told us that after 3 hours we should hose the patio down and give it a scrub as any sealer that had no absorbed the slabs could be washed away.

Would be grateful for any thoughts on both the process and also the finished product as both my wife and myself are very unhappy with how it is now looking.

That looks like a bit of dot & dab laying to start with. What sealer did they use?? And they told you to hose down the patio 3 hours after applying the sealer!!!! What did they arrive on horse-back??
