Hi
I have a client whose neighbour, don't ask me how, has crashed his car through their fence, into their rear garden, taking out 2 slotted/reinforced concrete posts, 2 gravel boards, 2 panels and a heavy access gate??? In doing so he took the gear-box off his car and the resulting Oil is now spread all over about 6m2 of their Grey sandstone paving(We installed it about 3 years ago). It's pretty filthy stuff, and they've asked me to do the works for their insurance.
Can it be removed or am I better replacing the lot? It's been walked all over the place, but is pretty dense in certain areas.
Cheers

Hi Mick, you just caught me on here so timing, couple of things you could try, Resiblock OR and OT8, use the Resiblock OR first when the paving is dry not wet etc as it's a solvent, give it around 15 minutes dwell time, giving it a scrub in that time and don't let it dry out, then flush off, a hot pressure washer will aid this, then follow up (straight away) with the OT8, (another oil remover) this one is water based and can go on damp but not a soaking wet surfaces, again dwell for around 15-20 minutes, giving it a scrub again etc, then wash off, you might be left with a shadow from the oil seeing as it's that thick & dirty, sometimes mate you need a couple of attempts to get rid of the stain, if it hasn't gone in to deep etc.

Cheers Roger, I was going to call you, but I was online so I thought I'd try here first. I'll give it a go and see what happens. The car was an automatic, the guy rammed it through his garage wall first(in reverse) then shot forward and straight through their garden. Considering the garage is only about 20 foot from the fence, he was giving the revs a fair old whack:laugh:
