Hi,

Laid a few slabs using the five spot method and soon realised this was a mistake having been on here. The slabs just do not stay down. I am not sure that motaring around the edges woukd suffice to stop them moving.

So I am now thinking after taking advice 4:1 sharp sand to cement across the full area and using sbr to be sure before jointing.

My questions are is it better to add sbr to the bedding mix? And if so at what rate? From online instructions from some products it was not clear to me. 5 litres to 25kg of cement is mentioned on the sbr section on here. In a 4 to 1 mix what would that be?

Alternativly what about wetting the slab and placing sbr directly on the underside.

Comments appreciated.
