Hi, Im loking for some advice on a colour enhancer / Impregnator Sealer product(s) for my Honed Sandstone Patio. I layed the patio slabs last Autumn and left over Winter to wether and wait for dry / warmer conditions to seal. Any advice on the best products to:
1. Clean dirt and algae from surface of slabs.
2. Enhance the colour or the slabs ( to resemble colours when wet)
3. Seal the stone slabs.
cheers,
Martin

Do not enhance it I had completed that on my job and it’s made it patchy use a natural sealer believe me you won’t regret it!

We've recently sealed a Honed Sandstone patio we laid last July, initially we cleaned the patio using Lithofin Algex, then we lightly jet washed using a rotary cleaner head, allowed the patio to dry completely then applied Drytreat Intensifia, be careful of applying any sealer in direct sunlight, I would recommend using a breathable impregnating sealer. The Drytreat Intensifia is solvent based you can get cheaper water based products but they don't give as long protection, using the intensifia we initially applied the product with a low pressure sprayer and left for around 30 minutes then you need to thoroughly buff off any excess while working into the slab, then repeat the process, if you leave any excess on the slab it can leave a milky residue so make sure you have plenty off clean towels to buff off thoroughly and you should be fine. cheers Dave
