Can anyone confirm if white salt could spoil Indian sandstone.

I'm sure I once read its not a good idea, put it into PE search box but nothing came up.

Slabs are clean and drain perfectly but just so slippy when temperatures drop.

If white salts not recommended is there an alternative?

It tends not to damage the stone itself but it *can* damage the jointing if you have a cement mortar.

There are alternatives out there - Resiblock De-Icer seems to be safe with all types of paving, stone, concrete, clay, porcelain, the lot!
