The Brew Cabin

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on my paving.

It was laid by a lanscaper back in October and developed a patchy effect roughly a month later. Initially I thought it was down to the cold and wet weather and would warm up/dry out in the summer but it hasnt changed now its been warm for a while. They do all look the same when its wet though.

The slabs are Rutland Winter Stone which I believe is a manufactured sand stone.

What could it be?
Are they permanently like this now?
Do I have any options?

I did get in touch with the landscaper who said "let me speak to my supplier" but I'm not getting any reponse.

Any help appreciated.

Looks like mortar hazing to me from what I can see in the photos.

Where the paving has been pointed and the surface not cleaned properly so leaving a mortar residue on the surface.

I have jet washed it a couple of times to see if it was dirt.

Were you thinking the light grey was the mortar residue or the other way round?

I'd agree with Roger - cement haze, caused by improper cleaning. And the pointing itself is bloody awful!
