Hello

I would appreciate some advice.

We laid a patio with natural stone slabs about a year ago but the colour has faded quite badly. I am thinking of applying a colour restorer (wet look) but when we laid the patio we applied a coat of Thompsons One Coat Paving Seal.

My questions are:

1. Is it OK to apply a colour restorer on top of the Thompsons product?
2. Do these colour restorers actually work, for how long and any tips I should have?
3. If they do work is there one that you can recommend to me

The slabs we used are here and they are the Teakwood ones

hi Tony

1. No ,we would never use thomsons and to use anything on top is a waste of money
2. the good ones work to some extent but the stone you have used is super soft,they use it in India for carving into jewellery
harder stones tend to hold their colour better

pretty sure you will need to remove all traces of the thomsons first though

Thanks for the advice, even thought it might not have been what I had hoped for it's appreciated

It prompts another question which is how do I remove the Thomsons seal ... is there a good product that will take it off?

Lithofin Wax Off and a lot of scrubbing will remove sealants
